Purple Orchid is a botanical jewelry collection designed to break away from traditional, rigid floral motifs through dynamic and fluid lines. Designed to emphasize organic movement, this matching luxury set includes a necklace, bypass cocktail ring and matching drop earrings. This collection avoids uniform stone layouts, choosing instead an expressive mix cuts of purple faceted and cabochon amethysts arranged as unfolding petals. These deep violet tones are balanced by luminous, off-center white pearls and a playful butterfly accent, all set into polished silver with Rhodium finish to capture a modern sense of asymmetry.

01 / MOOD EXPLORATION

The creative direction centers on the energy of tropical nature. Inspiration was drawn from the unpredictable way orchid blossoms grow and twist toward the light, capturing a feeling of life in bloom. Rather than presenting static flowers, the collection explores the concept of nature's momentum translating the organic sway of stems and petals into life. The deep purple hues contrast beautifully against the soft white pearls, offering a rich, sophisticated color palette designed for both formal or cocktail evening wear. The ultimate goal was to present a wearable sculpture that feels alive, shifting and catching the light uniquely with every movement of the wearer.

02 / HAND SKETCHING

The initial ideation phase required exploration into organic proportions and open space design to ensure the final pieces wouldn't look heavy or artificial. Sketches focused heavily on a fluid bypass structure, experimenting with how the metal bands could wind around the finger and neckline like a climbing vine. Multiple layout variations were drafted to place the amethysts at opposing angles, mimicking the natural irregularity of wild orchids.

03 / PRECISION BLUEPRINT

Moving from sketches to a technical drawing required mathematical planning to secure structural durability. The primary engineering challenge was sorting different shapes of stone, calculating the off-center weight distribution of the large, suspended amethysts and dangling pearls so that the ring and earrings rest comfortably. Detailed technical drawings explicitly mapped out precise metal thicknesses and stone sizes, ensuring a perfect balance between sculptural art and daily wearability.

04 / GOUACHE RENDERING

The renderings precisely capture the translucent, light-splitting depth of the faceted violet amethysts contrasted against the smooth, opaque luster of the white pearls. By carefully detailing the clean, polished reflections along the white gold silver and mapping every stone facet, these presentation drawings provided the master craftsmen with an exact visual and benchmark for the final collection.
