Golden South Sea Pearl Pendant And Earrings

Golden South Sea pearls are among the biggest, most desirable pearls created today. They are cultured in the gold-lip species of the Pinctada Maxima, South Sea pearl mollusk. Their warm, brilliant tones are totally normal and captivating yet luxurious. Golden South Sea pearls, much like white South Sea pearls, are ordinarily bigger than other saltwater pearl.

Their host shell is the biggest pearl-creating shell, and can grow a huge pearl. Similarly as with other saltwater shell, the Pinctada Maxima species is bead-nucleated. Nonetheless, the cultured time frame is about 2-4 years.

Pearls cultured by the gold-lip South Sea pearl clam go is color from a silky white to an intense gold. Other tones in the middle are referred to as yellow and champagne.  South Sea pearls tend to have thick nacre and large size. Thus, not all brilliant South Sea pearls are perfectly spherical, whereby large number of harvest are drop pearls, button pearls, baroque pearls and circle pearls. The normal size is in the 10 to 13 mm range, and fewer pearls have been found as vast as 20 mm.

Due to the large pearl, many people like to wear it as golden South Sea pearl pendant, or more luxury will be golden South Sea pearl necklace and always pair with golden South Sea pearl earrings.

Baroque Pearl Pendant

Baroque pearls natural or cultured, freshwater or saltwater that is irregular or asymmetrical in shape and uneven in texture, as opposed to traditional round pearls. The shape of baroque pearls are caused by the uneven deposition of nacre by the mollusc around its nacre. It was initially describe and used as early as 16th century.

The name first use to describe music in 1730s Rousseau and other critics of Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie called the opera “baroque” because of its seemingly irregular melodies, disjunctive harmonies, and frequently changing keys and meters. Many of these baroque pearls have spectacularly unique shapes, which makes each piece a one-of-a-kind creation. It is attractive and versatile to make as baroque pearl pendant, baroque pearl necklace as strand or baroque pearl earrings dangle.

Japan Pearl Seminar

Why Do People Choose Japanese Akoya Pearl Necklace?

Kokichi Mikimoto is named as “Father Of Pearl”, as he is the pioneer in world whom successfully cultured pearls. He was born 25 January 1858 in Toba town on Japan’s Shima Peninsular. Kokichi Mikimoto is the eldest son and helping his father in his udon shop until the age of 11, his father fell ill. At the age of 13, he left school and sold vegetables to support his family. Day by day he watched divers unloading their pearls from the shore and he started fascinating pearls after that.

People loves Japanese Akoya pearl necklace mainly for the luster and shape. Luster means how well is the pearl reflected in the light and good luster is like “mirror-like” reflection. Round shape pearl is always desirable and Japanese Akoya pearl necklace is popular for that. Thanks to Kokichi Mikimoto, continued researched and patented his method in early 1900s for culturing spherical-round pearls. Another factor is overtone. Rose overtone looks lovely on a fair lady, and due to Japanese Akoya Pearls doesn’t produce very large pearl, it has its charm and adore by many people nowadays.
