In this hands-on workshop, you will custom veils. you will get to know a bit more about veils. The different types of veil (not just for weddings but for other special occasion as well), it's functions and the different ways to wear them. During the making process, you will learn some basic sewing techniques, as well as how to embellish with beautiful laces, pearls, ribbons, beading and other finishing details. Veiling materials will be precut with two lengths to choose from: a finger tip length or a birdcage veil.

​It was believed started back to ancient Egypt, when people wove grasses and reeds into circles symbolizing love eternity and completeness. They wore their rings on the fourth finger of the left hand, on a believed that a vein from that finger link directly to the heart. The Romans called this the vena amoris, or "vein of love".

Over the years, the materials used for wedding rings evolved to leather, bone, and eventually metals such as iron, silver and gold. Later it moved on to diamond and other gemstones. During World War II, the Western married men who were stationed far from home decided to wear wedding rings as a reminder of their wives and families.

In many Western countries, couple wear wedding rings and engagement rings on the fourth finger of the left hands. In most Asian countries, people tend to follow the same. However, in many Northern and Eastern European countries, it is more common to wear the wedding ring on the fourth finger of the right hand.

The combination also happens to other tradition where couple wear wedding bands as engagement rings on their right hands, and upon mentioning their vows, they switch their rings to the left hand. Or wearing engagement rings on the left hand and wedding rings on the right. Or the groom put on the ring on the right index finger of the bride and after the ceremony, the bride typically moves the band to her ring finger.

For most couples, the three main rings worn will be an engagement ring, a ladies’ wedding band, and men’s wedding band.
