Diamonds Graded by GIA
What can cut the hardest stone in the world? Diamond can cut with specialized tool; a rapidly spinning phosphor bronze blade encrusted with diamond dust. By sawing along the crystal plane or other planes, a cut is made. Now, diamond can also be cut by using lasers. Neodymium YAG lasers are used to emit infrared light rather than the visible light. A diamond is rapidly heated by the laser and focused to an extremely small spot to make the cut. The extreme precision is the advantage of using the laser over the traditional methods of cleaving and sawing. For online consultation, feel free to contact us .
