Designing a Ring

Ever wonder what you should look out for when deciding on a ring? Here are some key things to keep in mind!
Designing a Ring Key Elements 1/2
-Setting-
Easily one of the most important element in designing a ring. For rings, a setting is the metal base that holds the gem and other decorative elements crafted into the ring. A setting supports and secures the gem while adding decorative appeal to the ring. There are various styles of setting, among them are Bezel, Prong, Tension, Gypsy (Flush), French, Channel, Pave (Bead) and Wrap.
-Precious Metal-
Each metal has its own pros and cons in terms of pricing, durability and perceived beauty. The metals such as Yellow Gold, White Gold, Rose Gold, Platinum, Sterling Silver, Titanium and Two Tone.
-Band Style-
The band is the part of the ring that wraps around the finger. The overall design of the ring relies on the width, style and shape of the band. Some band styles are the classic wide band, the more delicate twisted band, and the graceful split shank.
-Lifestyle-
Knowing and understanding the lifestyle of the wearer is an important factor. Think about how often the ring will be worn, how active the wearer is and how willing will they be to care for their jewelry. The lifestyle is most important for deciding on the ring setting and the band style.

,Other Than Wedding Rings Or Diamond Rings

“Diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” the most popular song, however, one of Marilyn Monroe’s most treasured pieces of jewelry was a simple sixteen-inch string of pearl necklace, given to her by Joe DiMaggio during their honeymoon in Japan.

Pearl necklace, pearl earrings and pearl bracelet are the most popular choice of wedding jewelry other than wedding rings or diamond rings.

Custom made a design that will complement the style of your wedding gown. If you have a deep V-cut neckline, a pearl pendant necklace with diamonds and intricate designs will draw attention to your neck and elevate your choice of gown to a level of elegance and sophistication. If the neckline is a sweetheart, a princess length pearl necklace is just perfect to complement your beautiful neck and shoulder.

Pearl Necklace for Bride and Wedding

It is a fascinating task when comes to choosing custom made pearl necklace or pearl jewelry for wedding.
Weddings are a perfect place to showcase a brilliant pearl necklace. It symbolizes purity and romantic. Consider about the overall wedding style, bride’s personal style, age and body frame. Many factors such as pearl size, color and pearl necklace lengths all come into place. Pearls are the timeless elegant jewelry of every woman and always a girls’ best friend. Pearls are often passed down from one generation to the next be it a pearl necklace, pearl bracelet, pearl earrings or pearl ring.

The starting pearl size normally from six to seven millimeter range for an average sized bride at approximately 5'5" tall and weighing about 130 pounds. Also, take into account the bride's age. As a woman matures, larger pearls are more appropriate. However, there are no standard rules on who wear what so long it is appropriate. Therefore it is a must have at woman’s wardrobe.

The length of her pearl necklace should fall at least one inch above or two inches below the neckline of her dress. The average length is about 16 to 18 inches for above the collar and 22 inches for below. White is most preferred choice when it comes to wedding where bride can wear any color of dress she desires to matches it. Also, if there are pearls on her dress, the color should match the accessories as well. Custom made pearl jewelry such as pearl necklace, pearl bracelet, pearl earring or even pearl ring are often popular too for your wedding theme.

Large and round white pearl necklace are seen good in formal wedding. Classic single or double match with pearl bracelet and pearl earrings will be appropriate.

You can also wear different color pearls necklace for very non-traditional weddings such as lavender or peach color are perfect for beach or garden wedding. During winter or dinner banquet darker tone pearl such as Tahiti pearl or golden South Sea pearl will look outstanding

Pearl bracelet are a very nice "Thank You" gift for bridesmaids and it can be worn for any occasions later on. These pearls should be worn at the wedding ceremony.
